Nearly 200 of us here today share a connection to Assam, either through our heritage or cherished ties.

Assamese dishes such as ‘Masor Tenga’ (sour fish curry), ‘Aloo Pitika’ (mashed potatoes with mustard oil and onions) and ‘Pitha’ (rice cakes) offer a taste of Assam’s culinary delights in New Zealand.
